Mount Kailash is one of the most popular pilgrimage sites situated in the Tibetan Autonomous region of China. Mount Kailash is also known as Mount Meru. It is the home of the Buddha Cakrasamvara. Its height is 6,638 m. Hindi believes it is to be the abode of Lord Shiva. Lord Shiva who is lord of Yoga and master of Tantra. There are five monasteries. Nyari Monastery, Dirapuk Monastery, Songchu Monastery, Gyangzha Monastery, and Thailong Monastery. Each and every monastery has its own different stories.
Itinerary

At. 06:00 PM: A short briefing about your tour program. If you are arriving late (after 4 PM) then we will have a briefing next morning at 9:00 AM.

At. 10:00 AM: After breakfast, sightseeing of Pashupatinath temple, Boudhanath stupa, Swayambhunath and Kathmandu Durbar Square will be provided. After sightseeing you will be dropped back to your hotel.

You arrive at the Lhasa Gonggar airport or the train station. The airport is 62 km/ 39 miles away from the city and it takes approximately 1 hour to get to the hotel from there. On the way to Lhasa, you will enjoy beautiful views of the mountains. The train station is located in Lhasa and we will only need a short transfer to the hotel. Depending on the time of your arrival, you might have some free time to spend in Lhasa.
Our guides will be happy to advise you on what you can do in Lhasa. After you check in the hotel, you are welcome to explore the city, visit nearby temples, do some shopping, try delicious Tibetan food in one of the local restaurants, or just take a rest. Walking around Bakhor street can be an excellent choice for your first day in Lhasa. Most importantly, on your first day in Tibet, relax, enjoy your day and allow some time for acclimatizing. Short Lhasa sightseeing will be done on this day.

Yamdrok lake and glaciers. (360km) Today we will take some of the most beautiful roads in Tibet to drive to Shigatse. Prepare your cameras to capture the breathtaking views when we will be going up to the highest point of the day – Kamba la pass (almost 4800 meters). Our next stop will be at Yamdrok Lake. It is one of the holy lakes in Tibet, and it is famous for its turquoise colour water. After that, we will head towards Gyantse. On the way, we will make a stop to see the spectacular glaciers. In Gyantse, we will visit the monastery and the biggest stupa. Finally, we will reach Shigatse late in the evening and stay there overnight.

In the morning, we will head to saga, you can view of the world’s 14th highest peak Mt. Shishapangma (8012), and Turquoise lake Peoku Tso (4590m). If you are lucky enough, you are very likely to see wild animals like wild donkeys, wild antelope etc.

On the way to Darchen, you will have a chance to appreciate the stunning view of the Saga valley between Gangdise Range and Himalaya Range. Meanwhile, the beautiful grassland and local villages can also be seen. As we cross the Mayumla Pass (5112M), you can enjoy the spectacular view of Mt. Naimonanyi (7694M). Then we are supposed to pass by the holy lake Manasarovar and finally arrive at the Southern at the foot of Mt. Kailash, the holiest mountain in Tibet.

In the morning, we will start Trek to Dirapuk monastery along the road of Lachu valley and rivers. You can enjoy both west and north face of Mt. Kailash today. Finally, we will visit Dirapuk Monastery. Stay overnight in local guesthouse.

Today, we will trek over Dolma La pass(5630m), the highest pass of the Kora. On the way you can have a rest in a teahouse. All the way, you can see local Tibetan prostrating in the Kora path and beautiful Kadoe Lake when walking downhill. We may also visit Zutrul-Puk Monastery. Stay overnight in local guesthouse

On day three of the Kora. you will trek 12km. Along the Kora, you can see piles of Mani Stones. We will end the Trek around noon, rest in the lodging place.(Optional): Take bath in Lake Manasarovar and enjoy hot spring.

In the morning, we will drive to the holy Lake Manasarovar (4558m). The rest of the day is at leisure. You can relax around the lake shore and experience the natural beauty of the lake. In summer, flocks of swans will gather on the lake, bringing grace and life to the area. You can also see so many Tibetans and Hindus praying and circling around the lakeshore for the whole day, snow-capped mountains in the background and hundreds of swans gathering on the lake, attracting hundreds and thousands of tourists from all over the world. In the morning, starting from the beautiful lake, we drive about 4 hours to Paryang (4700m). You will be shocked by the fabulous view of distant mountains, yak herders camp, if lucky enough, you might come across a herd of Kyang (Wild Ass). After having lunch at Paryang, we continue heading to Saga through the windswept territory passing many villages and camps of Yak herders with a distant view of snow-capped mountains. This vast and dry plateau is the traditional campsite of the nomads, grazing their animals during the summer. Stay overnight at Saga.

We can take western Tibet road from Shigatse to Saga. It is quite a long drive, and the newly paved road can help us drive faster and safer. Stay overnight in hotels in Shigatse.

We will follow Yarlong Valley back to Lhasa. On the way, you can stand on the viewing platform to view the vast Yalong River bed and visit water mill making Tibetan incense material (in Summer, if time permits). Drop off at hotel in Lhasa. Stay overnight in hotels in Lhasa.
