Overview

“This trek gives many spectacular views of the two Himalayas Annapurna ranges and Dhaulagiri ranges. Explore the hundreds years old monastery, caves, local tribes, culture and life style and scenic beauties of the different landscapes.

Jomsom Muktinath Ghorepani trekking is the lower part of Mustang, the sowing village called Jharkot popular and oldest village in Mustang. There are traditional Buddhist monasteries as well as local houses. Jomsom Muktinath Ghorepani trekking highest altitude of this trekking is 3800m. That is at Muktinath temple, the sacred holy site for both Hindus as well as Buddhists. There are 108 water taps and two small pounds. The Hindu people believe that if you take bath 108 taps (108 is a sacred number in Tibetan Buddhism), cast in the shape of cows heads, which pour forth sacred water.

This trek gives many spectacular views of the two Himalayas Annapurna ranges and Dhaulagiri ranges. Explore the hundreds years old monastery, caves, local tribes, culture and life style and scenic beauties of the different landscapes.

This trekking has included the world’s deepest gorge of the Kali Gandaki River between Annapurna and Dhaulagiri ranges. The trek gets interesting in Tatopani where you will have the opportunity to relax in natural hot spring. The views from the first rays of the sun at the break of dawn grace of Dhaulagiri and Annapurna Himalayans from Ghorepani (Poon Hill,3210m.), that is absolutely magnificent . The hike continues through dense rhododendron forest towering view of snowcapped mountains in the background to Tadapani and Ghandruk. The trek will end at Nayapul and then we drive back to Pokhara.

Itinerary

After your arrival at Tribhuvan International Airport, you will be warmly greeted by our office representative and transferred to the hotel.

The capital city of Nepal, Kathmandu, being the historical and cultural heart of the country, is a popular destination for tourists, trekkers and other types of adventure seekers. The city is a marvelous amalgamation of Hinduism, Tibetan Buddhism and Western cultures influences. Patan and Bhaktapur are its two major neighboring cities. These two cities, like Kathmandu, have a rich historical, cultural and religious legacy which is reflected in the many temples, monuments and artifacts that they contain. You will be taken on a half-day guided tour of Kathmandu and Bhaktapur cities. In Kathmandu, you will be visiting Pashupatinath, the most famous and revered Hindu shrine in the country; Boudhanath, the largest Buddhist stupa in Nepal, Soyambhunath, which contains both Buddhist and Hindu shrines and stands as testimony to the religious harmony that exists in the country; and the 15th-century 55-window palace in Bhaktapur. An orientation session for the trek, which commences the following day, will be organized in the evening.

Early morning after breakfast, we drive to Pokhara from Kathmandu (208km) via Prithvi Highway, takes 6hrs approximately (option of flying from Kathmandu to Pokhara, takes extra cost). Along the way we will stop in scenic spots, for lunch and to get fresh as well, en-route you experience the countryside which is lays with greenery, rivers, local villages, farm lands and beautiful mountain scenarios. Upon on arrival in Pokhara you have an option of your own.

The early flight of half an hour takes to Jomsom on the lap of Himalayas. After taking breakfasts here, you’re trekking journey starts to Kagbeni passing Ekali Bhatti. Normally you walk about 4 hours today with easy flat land. No tree is found along the trek. Mostly you fallow Kaligandaki river side. Afterward visit the traditional village of Tibetans kagbeni with over 500 years old monastery. And stay overnight.

Kagbeni to Muktinath via Jharkot Village (3940 m, 4/5 hours), rest of the day we explore Muktinath temple where many Hindu’s pilgrims come to visit and Explore around the Muktinath temple and Buddhist Gompa then overnight at Muktinath.

After a holy night’s sleep we will leave Muktinath behind us and start to trek back on the trail via the Kali Gandaki valley. Then, after approximately 6 hours of walking we reach the beautiful Marpha village. You will be rewarded: This place is well known for its juicy and sweet Apples. So don’t miss out and try the local Apple Pie and Apple Juice! It’s a real delight! Again you will stay overnight at a hotel.

Today we are trekking down to Kalopani, further walking through Kali Gandaki Valley. During the trail we will pass by many old traditional Thakali houses. From Kalopani, the Annapurna and Dhaulagiri mountain views will soothe our walk. Later you can take a rest at the hotel.

A beautiful walk awaits us today! With yet another transition of climates, we will enter into the subtropical area today: Lush vegetation, water buffalos, banyan trees and poinsettias are great for taking pictures. Further, the trail follows the river through a narrow gorge, and descends to cross a bridge near a spectacular waterfall, before winding through the valley to Tatopani. Later, you can enjoy the hot water springs that give the village its name– the perfect opportunity for relaxation.

After crossing the Kali Gandaki River, we will have another day of beautiful scenery. Then we slowly climb up steeply to the village of Sikha, where we are going to stay tonight. As one of our cultural spots, the village is inhabited by the Magars folk and still has a traditional flair.

After breakfast in the morning, we start walking from Sikha along the path that leads through beautiful Rhododendron forests. From here you can see the Annapurna South, hidden by a ridge, smiling at you. Later, we will walk past the villages of Banthanti and Nangathanti through the forest to reach Ghorepani. Ghorepani is a settlement of Poon Magars, where we will stay for tonight and save the rest of our energy for tomorrow.

Wake up early morning then at 4am an hour hike to Poonhill (3210m) with the help of your stick & flash light, where you can enjoy with Panoramic View of Mountain & beautiful Sunrise. Then after an hour Trek down to Ghorepani and have Breakfast then start your 6 hrs Trek to Tadapani. Tadapani means, Far water. Water supply in this village has been provided from long distance. The trail climbs along ridges and through pine and rhododendron forests to Deurali. We descend to reach Banthanti, before winding our way to Tadapani.

Trek start to Ghandruk after the Breakfast, descent Trek to Big Gurung Village called Ghandruk. It is the most interesting tribal Gurung village in Nepal, which provides Gorkha soldiers. It has excellent close -up views of Annapurna South, Machhapuchhare and Himalchuli.

After Breakfast Our Trek ends with short trek reaching to Nayapul and then take Bus back to Pokhara.
